The BEST Zesty Sausage Con Queso for the Big Game or any day! This is my absolute favorite superbowl dip! It rivals my buffalo chicken dip as a close second! It’s gonna keep the crowd uplifted even if their team is desperately losing! LOL It’s got very few ingredients, but tastes like you worked all day in the kitchen! I used Gordo’s Cheese dip for this recipe and Oh my WORD! Game changer! Let’s get this party started!

Zesty Sausage Con Queso Recipe

 

Ingredients:

• 16 oz. of hot pork sausage (I used Jimmy Dean)

• 1 chopped jalapeño (remove seeds)

• 1/2 an onion chopped

• 4 cloves of chopped garlic

• 1/2 tsp cumin

• 1/2 tsp salt

• 1 tsp of cracked black pepper

• 1 tbsp. of olive oil or avocado oil

• 10 oz can of Rotel (entire contents of can)

• 4 oz can of green chilis (entire contents of can)

• 2 cartons of Gordo’s Cheese Dip (each carton is 16 oz.) Mild and Original

• garnish: chopped green onion and 1/2 of a tomato chopped

• serve with tortilla chips

 

How To:

• Add the sausage to a pan with high sides and break it up with a wooden spoon.

• Add chopped onion, garlic, jalapeño, oil, cumin , salt, and pepper and sauté together until the sausage is browned and the veggies are golden.

• Then, add the can of Rotel and a can of green chilis. Mix and sauté for a few more minutes.

• Microwave the Gordo’s cheese dip for about 30-60 seconds until it’s melty. Add both cartons of cheese dip into the sauce at a medium-low heat and mix together until creamy.

• Garnish with chopped green onions and tomatoes and serve with tortilla chips!
