Method

  1. Add the washed honey gold potatoes to the bottom of your crockpot.
  2. Sprinkle 2 tablespoons of minced garlic over the potatoes.
  3. Add the Lipton onion soup mix and pour in the beef stock. Stir to coat the potatoes.
  4. In a bowl, combine the beef stew meat, tomato paste, remaining 2 tablespoons of minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, and zesty Italian dressing mix. Toss until the beef is evenly coated.
  5. Spoon the seasoned beef mixture directly on top of the potatoes. Do not stir.
  6. Lay the sliced stick of butter evenly on top of the beef. Again—do not mix. This will melt over the beef as it cooks, giving it maximum garlic butter flavor.
Cover and cook:
  1. HIGH: 4–5 hours
  2. LOW: 7–8 hours
  3. Cook until the beef is tender and the potatoes are fork-soft.
  4. Gently stir before serving to combine everything.
