  • Sweetness Guide (use packet to taste):
    Extra-sweet dessert: use the entire packet
    Sweet but not over-the-top: use about 3/4 of the packet
    Balanced (just sweet enough): use about 1/2 of the packet
    Lightly sweet / fruit-forward: use about 1/4 of the packet

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F. Grease or line a 9x13 baking pan.
  • In a bowl, prepare the cookie dough according to the package directions (mix with butter, water, and egg).
  • Press about two-thirds of the dough evenly into the bottom of the pan.
  • Sprinkle half of the cinnamon-sugar packet from the mix evenly over the dough.
  • Spread the apple pie filling evenly on top.
  • Sprinkle the remaining cinnamon-sugar over the apples.
  • Crumble the remaining cookie dough on top.
  • Bake for 20–25 minutes at 375°F, until golden brown and set.
  • Cool at least 15 minutes before slicing and serving.
