BBQ Sauce 🍗
Hey friends! This is my delicious homemade barbeque sauce recipe that I got from my mother! This one I've been making so long I can measure the ingredients without any measuring cups 😂. On a real note this dish is absolutely delish and it's one of my classic dishes I've been making from way before I even started making social media videos. This dish has a tangy delicious flavor that will seriously surprise you. This is the type of BBQ Sauce you can't just buy in a bottle. It pairs perfectly with chicken and you will most definitely be saving this recipe for the next time you crave some BBQ!
Ingredients
- 1 stick salted butter
- 1 large sweet onion sliced
- 1 tsp of both salt & pepper to taste
- 1 tsp paprika
- 1 tbsp chili powder
- 32 oz ketchup
- 1/4 cup dijon mustard
- 1 lemon juiced
- 4-5 shakes worcestershire sauce
- 3-4 shakes tabasco
- 4 bone in skin on chicken drumsticks
- 4 bone in skin on chicken thighs
Instructions
- In a pan with high sides add a stick of butter, onions, salt, pepper, paprika, & garlic powder.
- Let that sauté until the onions are translucent.
- Then add in the ketchup, dijon mustard, chili powder, lemon juice, worcestershire sauce, and tabasco.
- Stir everything together and let that simmer for 15-20 minutes.
- Place your chicken pieces in a 9x13 baking dish and season both sides of the chicken with salt & pepper.
- Pour half the bbq sauce over the chicken and save the rest of the sauce for dipping.
- Bake that in the 375°F for 1 hour. Serve with the remaining bbq sauce for dipping. Enjoy!!
