Lemon Pepper Rice 🍚

Everyone's a fan of a delicious and tasty rice dish, This dish right here is that times 1,000. I'm not kidding when I tell you peeps, This dish is one of the best if not the best rice dish I've made ever. I couldn't get over how perfect the flavors blended together and how the seasoning's worked so well together. I am most definitely putting this combination of dishes in my next recipe book without a doubt. Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups long grain rice
  • 3 & 1/2 cups water
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 shallot sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp canola oil
  • 1 tbsp Kinders lemon butter garlic seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Chef Merito chicken seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tbsp Chef Merito chicken marinade
  • Salt & cracked black pepper to taste
  • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley

Instructions
 

  • In a pan add oil, butter, garlic, shallot, and sauté until translucent.
  • Add in your rice and sauté for a few minutes until the rice is slightly toasty (keep the rice moving so it doesn't burn!).
  • Add in chicken seasoning, garlic powder, lemon butter garlic seasoning, cracked black pepper, salt, lemon juice, chicken marinade, and sauté that together.
  • Then pour in the water, bring the pan to a boil, lower to a simmer, and pop the lid on.
  • Let that simmer for about 20-25 minutes.
  • Take the pan off the heat, keep the lid on, and let that sit for 5 minutes.
  • Then uncover the lid and let that sit for another 5 minutes.
  • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve! Enjoy!
