Ingredients
  

  • 2 cups long grain rice
  • 3 & 1/2 cups water
  • 2 tbsp minced garlic
  • 1 shallot sliced
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 2 tbsp canola oil
  • 1 tbsp Kinders lemon butter garlic seasoning
  • 1 tbsp Chef Merito chicken seasoning
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • Juice of 1 lemon
  • 2 tbsp Chef Merito chicken marinade
  • Salt & cracked black pepper to taste
  • Garnish with chopped fresh parsley

Method
 

  1. In a pan add oil, butter, garlic, shallot, and sauté until translucent.
  2. Add in your rice and sauté for a few minutes until the rice is slightly toasty (keep the rice moving so it doesn’t burn!).
  3. Add in chicken seasoning, garlic powder, lemon butter garlic seasoning, cracked black pepper, salt, lemon juice, chicken marinade, and sauté that together.
  4. Then pour in the water, bring the pan to a boil, lower to a simmer, and pop the lid on.
  5. Let that simmer for about 20-25 minutes.
  6. Take the pan off the heat, keep the lid on, and let that sit for 5 minutes.
  7. Then uncover the lid and let that sit for another 5 minutes.
  8. Garnish with chopped fresh parsley and serve! Enjoy!
