6-Ingredient Dilly Pickle Chip Dip

If you’re looking for the ultimate game day dip, this is it. Creamy, tangy, loaded with real dill pickle flavor, and made with just six simple ingredients, this Dilly Pickle Chip Dip is one of those recipes people will ask you to bring every single time.
And the secret?
Dano did the dang thing with this seasoning.
I used Dano’s Dips, Dressing & Seasoning Mix – Dill (the new packet version), and I’m not exaggerating when I say it’s one of the best seasoning mixes I’ve ever had. The second you open the packet, it smells like a fresh dill pickle — but somehow even better. It delivers the perfect pickle flavor without being overpowering, and when you follow this recipe exactly, the balance is unreal.

Make It Your Way (This Is the Cool Part)
What I love about this dip is how flexible it is — and it’s delicious at every stage:
- 2 ingredients: Whipped cream cheese + sour cream + Dano’s Dill seasoning = insanely good chip dip
- 4 ingredients: Add the chopped pickles and stop there — still amazing
- 6 ingredients: Add the cheese and bacon for the full flavor bomb
No matter how you make it, it works.
Can’t Find Dano’s Dill Dip Seasoning?
While I highly recommend using Dano’s Dips, Dressing & Seasoning Mix – Dill for the best flavor (it really makes this dip what it is), I know it’s not always easy to find everywhere.
If you’re in a pinch, you can substitute:
- 1 packet ranch seasoning
- About 2 tablespoons pickle juice, or more to taste
Add the pickle juice slowly until you reach the level of dill pickle flavor you love. This won’t taste exactly the same as the Dano’s version, but it will still give you a really delicious, tangy pickle dip.

I used the Dano’s Dill Dip packet for this recipe, but Dano also makes several other dip and seasoning mixes that I’m linking below because I genuinely can’t wait to try them all. The flavor quality is unreal, and these packets make throwing together an amazing dip ridiculously easy.

Absolutely. Regular cream cheese works fine—just make sure it’s fully softened so it blends smoothly with the sour cream. You may need to mix a bit longer to get a creamy texture.
