Summary
Once you make this hot onion dip one time you won’t even have to come back to this recipe blog anymore. And it’s not because you won’t want to make it! You will certainly want to make it over and over again, for every party you host and every party you attend. All you’re going to have to remember is 2+2+2 equals hot onion dip! Now let’s make it!!
I prefer to shred my cheese fresh. It offers a vibrant burst of flavor and a superior texture. The process of shredding cheese at home preserves its moisture and fat content, resulting in a richer, creamier melt and a more robust taste. You can save time by using the store bough cheese but I highly recommend you giving it a try when you have an extra 5 minutes.
This is a cranberry walnut bread bowl from Costco but these bread bowls come in various types and are sold at your local grocery store. Some of my favorites for this hot onion dip are sourdough, rye and pumpernickel.
