This is quite possibly the best way to eat broccoli! Smashed Broccoli Parmesan! Not only is it incredibly delicious to eat, but it’s also super fun to make! I’ve found that the easiest way to make this is with frozen broccoli florets. All you have to do is thaw out your broccoli, florets pat them dry, make your marinade, and smash away! It’s so simple to do and even the kids are going to love these! It’s the perfect way to get your kids to eat their vegetables! And healthy too! Let’s make it!

Smashed Broccoli Parmesan

This is quite possibly the best way to eat broccoli! Smashed Broccoli Parmesan! Not only is it incredibly delicious to eat, but it’s also super fun to make! I’ve found that the easiest way to make this is with frozen broccoli florets. All you have to do is thaw out your broccoli, florets pat them dry, make your marinade, and smash away!   • Thaw your frozen broccoli and squeeze out any excess water.
  • Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and drizzle a few tbsp of olive oil over the parchment paper (saving ⅓ cup of oil for later). Then, add the thawed broccoli onto the baking sheet. Use the bottom of a glass cup and smash the broccoli down until it’s flat on the parchment paper.
  • In a measuring cup, add ⅓ cup of olive oil, Tony’s creole seasoning, paprika, italian seasoning, garlic powder, crushed red pepper flakes, lemon zest, and lemon juice. Whisk that together until combined.
  • Using a silicone brush, brush some of that marinade over each piece of broccoli. (This recipe makes enough marinade for up to 2 lbs of broccoli). Then sprinkle the grated parmesan cheese over the pieces of broccoli.
  • Bake at 415°F for 15 – 20 minutes.
