Oven Baked Salmon 🍋

This recipe is so easy it has no business being this good! I have been making this Oven Baked Salmon recipe for many many years, however the first time I posted it was in 2020 when I first started making recipes on social media, Tik Tok to be exact. This recipe went mega viral in 2020 so I decided that this little masterpiece needed to be resurrected, re-made, and re-posted as a reminder of how simple and delicious a recipe can be!

Once you make this Oven baked Salmon I am certain it will stay in your rotation whenever you make salmon or any fish for that matter. I used salmon for this recipe, however you can use any fish that you’d like because the flavor profile fits for most. Let’s make it!

I absolutely love using this Lodge Cast Iron Deep Skillet because it evenly distributes heat from the bottom through the sidewalls and it retains heat for a longer time.

This Oven Baked Salmon paired perfectly with this delicious Smashed Broccoli!

Instructions

  • Slice 1 & ½ lemons into rounds and save the other half of the lemon whole for later. In a cast iron or baking dish scatter those lemon rounds around the bottom. Then add in the pieces of salmon over the lemon rounds and season them with a ¼ tsp of cracked black pepper.
  • In a measuring cup, add the butter and melt it in the microwave. Once the butter is melted, add in the juice of half a lemon, Tony’s creole seasoning, italian seasoning, chopped fresh parsley, minced garlic, and a ¼ tsp of cracked black pepper. Whisk that together until combined.
  • Pour that butter mixture over top of the pieces of salmon in the baking dish. Bake in the oven at 375°F for 15-20 minutes (depending on how you like your salmon cooked).

Notes

  • When you are using Tony’s Creole seasoning you don’t need to use salt because it already has salt in it.
