Ingredients
  

  • 1 box chocolate cake mix any brand
  • 12 oz cherry cola
  • 16 oz jar maraschino cherries divided
  • 1 container Cool Whip

Instructions
 

Step 1 — Prep

  • Preheat oven to 350°F.
  • Grease a 9×13 baking dish.

Step 2 — Prepare the Cake Batter

  • Disregard the instructions on the cake mix box.
  • Pour the dry chocolate cake mix into a mixing bowl.
  • Add 12 oz cherry cola.
  • Chop half of the maraschino cherries into quarters. Leave the remaining half whole.
  • Add HALF of the cherries (both chopped and whole portions divided as desired) into the batter.
