Animal Bacon Cheeseburger Sliders
Equipment
Ingredients
- 1 12-pack King’s Hawaiian Sweet Rolls
- 1 ½ lb ground chuck
- ½ tbsp lawrys all purpose seasoning
- 4 oz shredded cheddar cheese
- 5 strips bacon cooked and chopped
- 1/2 cup dill pickle chips
- 4 tbsp of mustard
- Optional: sliced red onion or tomato
Butter Topping:
- 4 tbsp melted butter
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- 1 tsp sesame seeds optional for the bun tops!
Sauce:
- ¼ cup mayo
- 1½ Tbsp ketchup
- 1 Tbsp sweet pickle relish
- ½ tsp white vinegar
- 1 tsp sugar
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F.
- Grease a 9×13 Pyrex baking dish and squeeze 4 tablespoons of yellow mustard across the bottom.
Make Beef Layer:
- In a bowl, gently combine 1½ lbs ground chuck with ½ tbsp Lawry’s—do not overmix! Press the beef mixture evenly over the mustard layer in the dish. Bake for 20 minutes at 400°F.
- While the beef bakes, slice your 12-pack of King’s Hawaiian Rolls in half horizontally and place the bottom half in a separate greased 9×13 baking dish.
- In a small bowl, mix together the sauce: mayo, ketchup, relish, vinegar, and sugar. Set aside half. Slather the other half generously on the top buns and set aside.
Layer it:
- Once the burger is done, use two spatulas to carefully lift the beef patty out of the dish, tipping to drain any excess grease. Place it directly on the bottom buns.
- Finely chopped red onion
- Shredded cheddar cheese
- Chopped bacon
- Add the top buns (already slathered in that dreamy sauce).
Butter bomb:
- Mix melted butter with Worcestershire, pour it evenly over the buns, and sprinkle sesame seeds over the top.
- Place the assembled sliders in the oven and bake at 350°F for 15 minutes, until golden and melty.
- Slice and serve hot!
- Dip in the extra sauce or serve with pickle chips on the side. Watch these disappear faster than you can say Animal Style.
