Crockpot Italian Beef Sliders
Ingredients
- 2.5 – 4 lbs chuck roast
- A third of a 16 oz jar Mezzetta sliced peperoncinis & the juice
- A third of a 12 oz jar Cento fancy giardiniera & the juice
- 8 tbsp butter
- 1 oz Au Jus Gravy packet
- ½ packet of Good Seasons italian dressing mix
- 2-3 packs King’s Hawaiian rolls
- 2 slices of provolone cheese per tray
Instructions
- Add the padded dry room temperature chuck roast to the crockpot.
- Sprinkle the packets of Au Jus Gravy and Italian dressing mix over the chuck roast.
- Add the one stick of cubed butter over the top.
- Then pour in the peperoncinis with the juice and the giardiniera with the juice.
- Pop the lid on and cook on low for 8 hours or on high for 6 hours, until the beef is tender.
- Shred up the Italian beef with two forks in the crockpot.
- Keep the Hawaiian rolls in the tray they come in. In the center of each roll, cut out a square 3/4th of the way down to make a hole.
- Spoon some of the italian beef into each hole.
- Then take your provolone cheese and cut it into little slices. Place two slices of cheese on top of each roll
- Place the tray in the oven at 400°F for 5-10 minutes or until the cheese is bubbly and browned.
